The Bird Man (Tony Hawk) and Kevin Staab were out at the Indigo Skate Camp yesterday. It was a Laureus Sports Fund gig! Even SABC 3 News was there to cover the story! And big ups to Dallas and Laureus because skating is a big part of transformation for the kids in that area. Those cats also threw down some Woolworths catering which is always welcome by the foraging Goat and his friends.

MCTWIST - WITNESS

So enough about that – lets talk about the new bowl Dallas has built. Oh and apparently GVB got a Murth Tattoo?!  It’s by far the most gnar-dog concrete bowl in the country. It’s got like 2 feet of tranny and 6 feet of vert in the deep end. It took Dallas and Geth Noble two  months to build it and it’s fkn mental – granite coping and a death box which is under construction. If you can ride that bowl, the glue sniffing locals at Washington Street (San Diego) might give you a 30 second run on their home turf ¡¡¡ It’s sick and rad and gnarly – that’s the only way to describe that bowl!

Highlights of the day included a ginger photo with Shaun Pollock (soon to be posted on this blog). A goat fart in Kalvyn’s face (oh – by the way Mullet is skating better than all of us. I’m gonna have to de-tag those Mr. Tumnus pics of him on facebook). Bert’s Bugarra Front Side grind in the deep end and Tripple breaking property (can’t take the M*U*R*T*H squad anywhere!!!). Oh and my life flashed before my eyes when I fell inside the bowl while Dallas was riding - the last thing I saw before crossing over to another dimension was Kalvyn and Kevin Staab’s face when the Goat cut the cheese.
